baffling raiders, next door neighbors
and eager list-yearning birders
who’d rather see through the disguise.

With each each rain drop brown becomes green
until each tree is laced with leaf
much to the nesting birds’ relief
who make their beds behind leaves’ screen.

At the speed Spring begins to pop
I am hard pressed to see it all
while pink and white holds me in thrall
green covers brown with each rain drop.

we travel a million of miles
through strange clusters of starry isles
