A fool’s joke isn’t so funny

leaving the fool feeling dumbest
mad to tell the Easter bunny.

Sometimes I kneel in compromise
inclined to recline with my fate
but other times I just can’t wait

or prove like to like is worth naught.

Those who never learned but were taught
have only thoughts themselves to blame
or such the self-help books do claim
but none of us think as we ought.
Lynne
A swift hard kick I should have earned
when I hurled bigger words at them
but it’s so much fun to condemn

Lynne

let thoughts escape thick and plenty
none of them worth a thin penny
yet I still earned a swift hard kick.
